fairs, dolls, stamps - Fairs, Dolls, Stamps

My, how time flies, again two months have passed since my last post. The weather is not exactly suited to sit inside at the computer! Germany is in football fever and sweats

:-) I was found in recent weeks to two trade shows, to my great joy in Hamburg, the stamp sauce. I've always been jealous of all the South, which could go to the Stamp Exhibition South, now I was compensated at least somewhat. I have long toyed with the "Character Constructions stamps by Catherine Moore, and I've dann zwei Marie-Antoinette-Sets aus der "Queen of Tarts"-Serie gekauft. Achtung, die Stempel machen süchtig!!

Hier meine erste Papier-Puppe, für meine Schwägerin zum Geburtstag:

Gosh, how time flies! Two months have already passed since my last post. Well, the weather is not meant to be spent inside sitting at the computer. Germany sweats and suffers from "soccer fever".

I visited two fairs in the past weeks, to my great delight we had a stamping fair in Hamburg. I had been envious because the "Southerners" have the large stamping fair "Stempelmesse Süd" in Southern Germany, but I was compensated for that by the smaller "Stempelsause".

I had fancied Catherine Moore 's "Character Constructions" for quite a while, and discovered and bought two sets on the fair, from the "Queen of Tarts" series. Beware though, Catherine's sets are highly addictive!

I made the first paper doll for my sister-in-law's birthday:

As you can see, I have spent itself properly :-) paper napkins, metallic inks by Luminart, pens, polymer clay hearts and glitter.

As you can see, I ran riot :-) Paper napkins, metallic water color by Luminart, feathers, polymer clay hearts and lots of glitter.

Because I liked the doll so well, I have not done the same one for me, it has yet to take a background:

Because I liked the doll so much, I created another one for myself. I did not manage to make a background for her yet.

I have long wanted to work with Inchies times, but then determines that they are too small something, and have nine twinchies (about 5 cm x 5 cm), also on "Marie Antoinette" Created:

For quite a while I wanted to work with inchies, but when I started, how small they are :-) Irealized

I made nine "Marie Antoinette-themed twinchies instead:

Today I was on the dolls, teddy bears and miniature exhibition in the Congress Centrum Hamburg. Due to the weather, it was not very crowded, and unfortunately there were few porcelain head dolls, but a couple I found but, nice including this doll:

Today I visited the "Doll, Teddy Bear and Miniature Fair" in the Congress Center in Hamburg. Because it was so hot outside, not many people were there, and I only found a few dolls porcelain. This sweet doll was among them:

I immediately fell in love with her, but she was not cheap (260 €), I almost went home without them. I liked her dress not, she was dressed in the style of a kitchen girl, what her beauty was not really account.

Fortunately my proposed practical man, but simply to ask the owner if they do not have a different dress. Unfortunately this was not the case, but I then asked what it would cost the doll without clothes, only with underwear, and the little old lady said: "180 €". I then immediately slammed shut before it is considered different.

I think her facial expression just wonderful at the same time cheerful and serene and a bit dreamy.

The beautiful dress erstand ich dann an einem anderen Stand, es wurde aus antikem Stoff und alter Spitze neu genäht.

I fell in love with this little lady, but was nearly ready to leave without her, because she was not cheap (260 Euros), and I did not like the dress she came with. She was dressed as a kitchen maid, which didn´t do her beauty justice.

Luckily for me, my practical husband suggested asking the booth owner, a very sweet old lady, if she had another dress for this darling. She did not, but I asked how much the doll would be without a dress, just in her underwear, and to my surprise the price dropped to 180 Euros, and before the lady could change her mind, I quickly paid :-)

I am so in love with her sweet face she, looks so serene and dreamy at the same time.

I found her delightful dress at another booth. It is a new dress made from antique fabric and lace.
